Terms of Use Overview

Last updated: September 23, 2026
Using the WIN Website Responsibly
The Worthwhile Information Network Inc. (“WIN”) public website is intended for education, research communication, public information, collaboration, and lawful participation. This Terms of Use Overview explains important expectations and limitations associated with use of the current public website.
WIN’s website and organizational capabilities will continue to develop. These terms will be reviewed and updated when new services, account systems, educational platforms, or other consequential functions are introduced.
Educational and Informational Content
Website content is provided for general educational and informational purposes. It is not individualized legal, medical, financial, mental-health, law-enforcement, cybersecurity, accounting, or other professional advice.
Visitors should obtain appropriately qualified professional advice when a decision requires expertise specific to their circumstances.
Research, Frameworks, and Developing Ideas
WIN publishes organizational information, educational explanations, research concepts, frameworks, hypotheses, interpretations, and descriptions of future plans. These categories are not automatically equivalent and are distinguished when the difference is important.
A framework is a tool for organizing and examining information; it is not proof that every relationship within the framework is correct. Research conclusions remain open to stronger evidence, professional review, competing explanations, and correction.
No Guarantee of Results
WIN does not guarantee that using information from this website will produce a particular personal, educational, organizational, financial, civic, or social outcome.
Human behavior and complex systems are affected by many variables. Examples, projections, proposed mechanisms, and future objectives are presented for examination and education and are not guarantees of future results.
Current Capabilities and Future Plans
Some WIN pages describe capabilities, programs, educational systems, research infrastructure, certifications, technologies, or organizational functions that are planned or under development rather than currently operational.
WIN distinguishes current capabilities from future plans when that distinction is material. A description of a proposed future capability does not mean that the capability is presently available.
No Unauthorized Representation
Using WIN’s website, research, educational materials, name, or publicly available information does not authorize a person or organization to represent themselves as WIN personnel, officers, spokespersons, agents, certified participants, authorized investigators, law-enforcement representatives, or otherwise authorized to act on WIN’s behalf.
Authorization to represent WIN must come from WIN through an appropriate authorized process.
No Status or Authority Created by Website Use
Visiting WIN’s website, reading WIN materials, participating in public discussions, submitting information, or expressing support for WIN does not by itself create employment, agency, certification, membership, investigative authority, enforcement authority, or any other official status.
Any formal role, qualification, appointment, or authorization associated with WIN requires the applicable standards and approval process.
Active Citizen Boundaries
WIN’s developing Active Citizen framework does not confer police powers or general authority to detain, confront, coerce, threaten, trespass, impersonate law enforcement, interfere with official investigations, or otherwise exercise powers reserved to lawful authorities.
Any future qualified participation involving limited fact-finding must remain lawful, proportionate, non-confrontational, and subject to defined safeguards, training requirements, documentation standards, legitimate access or authority, and WIN authorization.
Acceptable Use
Users may not use the WIN website or its services to violate applicable law, interfere with website operation or security, gain unauthorized access to systems or accounts, impersonate another person or organization, transmit malicious software, engage in fraud, or deliberately misuse WIN systems or services.
Reasonable criticism, disagreement, research, commentary, and good-faith examination of WIN’s ideas are not prohibited merely because they challenge WIN or its conclusions.
Website Security
Users must not attempt to bypass, disable, probe, exploit, or interfere with website security controls or gain unauthorized access to accounts, systems, administrative functions, data, or infrastructure.
Good-faith reports of suspected security vulnerabilities may be submitted to WIN through an appropriate contact pathway. Public disclosure of sensitive technical information may need to be coordinated when immediate disclosure could create avoidable security risks.
Intellectual Property
WIN’s public materials may be protected by copyright, trademark, or other intellectual-property rights. Unless otherwise indicated, publication on the website does not place WIN-created material in the public domain or transfer ownership rights to visitors.
Applicable law may permit quotation, commentary, criticism, scholarship, teaching, news reporting, or other fair uses without WIN’s permission. Nothing in these terms is intended to eliminate rights provided by applicable law.
Fair Reference and Attribution
Researchers, educators, journalists, commentators, and others may refer to publicly available WIN materials in accordance with applicable law. Accurate attribution is encouraged when WIN material is quoted, summarized, discussed, or analyzed.
WIN asks that quotations and references not be presented in a materially misleading manner or falsely represented as WIN endorsement.
Third-Party Material
Some WIN materials may discuss, quote, cite, summarize, or link to work created by third parties. Rights in third-party material remain subject to the applicable rights of its owners and to applicable law.
WIN’s inclusion of third-party material or references does not necessarily imply endorsement, sponsorship, partnership, or agreement.
External Links
WIN may link to websites, publications, services, research, software, educational resources, or other material operated by third parties. WIN does not control those external sites or their privacy, security, availability, accuracy, or content.
An external link is provided for reference or convenience and does not automatically constitute WIN endorsement of the linked organization, service, product, or viewpoint.
User Communications and Submissions
Information voluntarily submitted to WIN through contact forms, registration forms, email, or other available communication channels may be reviewed and used for the purpose for which it was submitted and for legitimate organizational administration.
Users should not submit passwords, financial account credentials, highly sensitive personal information, or other sensitive information unless WIN has specifically requested it through an appropriate process and the information is reasonably necessary for the intended purpose.
Submission of information does not by itself create employment, representation, certification, partnership, confidentiality, or another formal relationship with WIN.
Corrections and Changing Information
WIN seeks to maintain accurate public information, but website material may be corrected, expanded, reorganized, superseded, or revised as research develops, organizational capabilities change, professional review occurs, or circumstances change.
When a substantive correction materially affects the meaning of important public information, WIN should identify or document the correction when appropriate, with the prominence and degree of documentation proportionate to the significance of the error and the consequences of leaving it uncorrected.
Accuracy and Limitations
WIN makes reasonable efforts to provide accurate public information but does not represent that every page will always be complete, current, error-free, or applicable to every circumstance.
Visitors remain responsible for evaluating information in context and obtaining qualified professional advice when a decision requires specialized expertise.
Website Availability
WIN does not guarantee uninterrupted availability of the website or every feature. Maintenance, hosting problems, software failures, security events, scheduled changes, third-party outages, or other circumstances may temporarily affect access.
Privacy
Use of the website is also subject to WIN’s Privacy Policy, which describes the organization’s current public website privacy approach.
Before WIN introduces future services that materially change data collection or processing, it will conduct appropriate privacy review and update its disclosures accordingly.
Accessibility
WIN seeks to improve access to its public information. Accessibility information and a method for reporting accessibility concerns are available through the Accessibility Statement.
Future Learning Services
WIN’s planned future learning platform may eventually require additional terms governing learner accounts, assessments, records, qualifications, intellectual property, conduct, privacy, security, and other platform-specific matters.
This Terms of Use Overview applies to WIN’s current public website and does not contain every term that may apply to a future account-based educational service.
Changes to These Terms
WIN may revise these terms as the website, organization, technology, public services, or applicable requirements change. When substantive changes are made, the “Last updated” date will be revised accordingly.
Professional Legal Review
These terms are intended to provide a clear public overview of responsible use and important limitations for WIN’s current informational website. They are not a substitute for legal advice to WIN.
As WIN adds account systems, advanced educational services, certifications, international participation, user-generated content, substantial data processing, or other consequential capabilities, the applicable terms and legal requirements should receive qualified professional review when appropriate.
